Youth Group Spring Fair
On Saturday the 18th October, the Latimer Youth ran a Spring Fair, fundraising for the fitout of the youth lounge in Latimer’s new home. This was a fun event for all who attended, with everything from crockery smashing, to sausage sizzles, raffles, coffee, home made goods, and the biggest hit - a dunk tank (with the final splash being an auction for Latimer’s Snr Minister Costa who went for over $550!)
It was a huge effort by many in the Latimer Youth ministry, and after expenses they ended up raising over $6,000 towards fit out. Through Gods provision, someone offered to match the income made at the event, meaning that over $13k was raised in total.
This youth-focussed event coincided very well with the first portion of the new building to receive a roof - the new youth lounge (pictured below).
Framing is going up quickly, showing some of the features of the space including the storage closet off to the left, the two large doors & windows to the outside decking, and the doorway out to the foyer on the right.
