Fit-out

This past Sunday, across all services, there was an update from the property committee with lots of news!

Firstly, we praise God that there has been a major reduction in our construction fundraising, with the total deficit now down to $753k! This is now a manageable shortfall as we have been able to cover it through loans from within the Latimer congregation, meaning we no longer need traditional interest bearing bank loans!

Secondly, we had an update from Barnaby Coxon the Programme Director, who shared about the work the Property Committee has been doing over the last 6 months. They have been focussed on the operational side of the new building, specifically focussing on setting up a plan for the fit-out and land development.

A booklet was created which contains all of the information from the presentation which you can find here, and we have also launched a new fitout page on our website which you can find here.

A new fundraising target was presented by the committee, with some good news that over $100k has already been raised (noticeably $12k from the youth fair!). Head over to our give page to read more about ways to give towards this, or fill out our pledge form.

We also had the opportunity to get the drone back up in the air to capture progress on construction. The steel framing is now almost complete and you can see the timber framing going up. Over the next few months we will see the roof go on too!
